Research and Simulation on Torsion of Mine Hoisting Steel Cable

Abstract: Deep mine hoisting cable can twist seriously during cable changing process. Analyze the steel cable rotation theoretically due to its screw structure factor. Using RecurDyn software establishes dynamic models of steel cable. Simulating and analyzing the rotation angular displacement of steel cable during twisting process. The result reveals that in the depth of 1,000 meters mine, the bottom cable can twist up to 263 turns eventually result from the weight of the whole cable in mine, basically consistent with the theoretical results. Based on simulation of steel cable twisting, we have verified the feasibility of a number of flexible beam connecting sections between micro cylinders instead of steel cable.
